Squares and Square Roots

Squaring a number and finding the square root of a number is very easy with the calculator. To square a number, type the number in the calculator and push the x² key. To find the square root, type the number into the calculator, push the Shift key, then push the x² key. It's that simple.

Example: 8²
Type 8, then push the x² key. The calculator should now say 64.

Example: SQRT Ö 81
Type 81, push the Shift key, then push the x² key. The calculator should now say 9.
